Installation [12/2017 - 10/2020]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) 
    1. Connect the 5 connectors.

      Bolt
      Connector
      Nut
    2. Attach the guide and temporary install the DCM (telematics transceiver).
    3. Install the DCM (telematics transceiver) in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

  2. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  3. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR PAD PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  4. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  5. INSTALL NO. 2 CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  6. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19

  7. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD INSERT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24

  8. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28

  9. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21

  10. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 36

  11. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30

  12. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  13. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  14. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2018 - 10/2020]

  15. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  16. DCM ACTIVATION 

    HINT: 

    When replacing the DCM (telematics transceiver), perform DCM activation.

  17. LEXUS ENFORM REMOTE REGISTRATION 
    1. for LEXUS ENFORM Remote compatible type

      HINT: 

      When replacing the DCM (telematics transceiver), perform LEXUS ENFORM remote registration.

      Refer to REGISTRATION [12/2017 - 10/2020]
