Removal [08/2016 - ]: Procedure
- REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [08/2015 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [08/2020 - ]
- RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
- Drain the engine coolant (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 ).
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL WARNING:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTE:- w/ Navigation System:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

- REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)
- Remove the rear No. 2 seat assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] ).
- REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
- for Separate Seat Type:
Remove the rear No. 1 seatback assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2016 - 08/2019] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2019 - ] ).
- for 60/40 Split Slide Walk-in Seat Type LH Side:
Remove the rear No. 1 seatback assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2016 - ] ).
- for 60/40 Split Slide Walk-in Seat Type RH Side
Remove the rear No. 1 seatback assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2016 - ] ).
- for Separate Seat Type:
- REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR STEP COVER (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)

- REMOVE QUARTER SCUFF PLATE RH (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)

- REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

- REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

- REMOVE OUTER LAP BELT ANCHOR COVER

- REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Tonneau Cover)

- REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER LAP BELT ANCHOR COVER

- REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK

- REMOVE NO. 1 TONNEAU COVER HOLDER CAP

- REMOVE FRONT DECK SIDE TRIM COVER

- REMOVE ASSIST GRIP PLUG (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)

- REMOVE ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)

- REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 39 [08/2016 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 39 [08/2019 - ]
- REMOVE REAR QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY RH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43 [08/2016 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43 [08/2019 - ]
- DISCONNECT AIR CONDITIONING TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY
- Remove the bolt.
- Disconnect the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.NOTE:
- Do not use a screwdriver or similar tool to disconnect the tube.
- Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.
- Remove the 2 O-rings from the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.
- Using pliers, grip the claws of the clips and slide the 2 clips.
- Disconnect the heater water inlet hose and heater water outlet hose.
- Remove the bolt.
- REMOVE REAR SIDE NO. 2 AIR DUCT
- REMOVE REAR SIDE NO. 3 AIR DUCT
- REMOVE REAR SIDE NO. 1 AIR DUCT
- REMOVE REAR COOLING UNIT ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY RH
