Installation [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 2) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. INSTALL EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Install a new gasket.

      Install the exhaust manifold LH, and install 8 new nuts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

  4. INSTALL NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

      Install the exhaust manifold heat insulator with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.

  5. INSTALL EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Install a new gasket.

      Install the exhaust manifold RH, and install 8 new nuts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

      Install the No. 1 exhaust manifold heat insulator with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.

  7. INSTALL ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 54

  8. INSTALL NO. 2 STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY (w/ VGRS) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  9. INSTALL NO. 2 STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY (w/o VGRS) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  10. INSTALL STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT (w/o VGRS) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  11. INSTALL STEERING SLIDING YOKE WITH SHAFT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ VGRS) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  12. INSTALL STEERING SLIDING YOKE WITH SHAFT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o VGRS) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  13. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  14. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  15. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT LH 

    (Refer to INSTALLATION [09/2015 - ] )

  16. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  17. INSTALL NO. 1 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    See step  1

  18. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to INSTALLATION [09/2015 - ] )

  19. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2015 - ] ).

  20. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  21. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK 
  22. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER PROTECTOR LOWER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 100

  23. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  24. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  25. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16

  26. INSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  27. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET

  28. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
