Removal [08/2015 - 10/2016]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to REMOVAL [04/2013 - ]

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  6. REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
    1. Disengage the 10 claws and 2 guides to remove the front door scuff plate LH.

  8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH 
    1. Disengage the 3 claws (A).

      HINT: 

      Disengage the claws from the lower side of the front door opening trim cover LH.

    2. Disengage the claw (B) and guide to remove the front door opening trim cover LH.
  9. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. Apply protective tape around the front pillar garnish LH as shown in the illustration.

      *a Front Pillar Garnish Clip
      Protective Tape
    2. Pull the upper part of the garnish toward the inside of the cabin and disengage the garnish from the base of the 2 clips.

      HINT: 

      Let the front pillar garnish LH hang from the front pillar garnish clip.

    3. Using needle-nose pliers with the tips wrapped with protective tape, rotate the front pillar garnish clip 90°in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration.

    4. Pull the front pillar garnish LH in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to disengage it from the front pillar garnish clip.
      NOTE:
      • If the front pillar garnish clip is not removed from the vehicle body and is not damaged, the front pillar garnish clip can be reused.
      • If the front pillar garnish clip is removed from the vehicle body, make sure to replace it with a new one.
    5. Pull the front pillar garnish LH in the direction indicated by the arrow (3) shown in the illustration to disengage the 3 guides to remove the front pillar garnish LH.
    6. Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly LH.

      *1 Curtain Shield Airbag Assembly LH
      *a Protective Cover
      *b Adhesive Tape
      1. Cover the airbag with a piece of cloth or nylon and secure the edges of the cover with tape as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:

        Cover the curtain shield airbag assembly LH with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish LH is removed.

  10. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
    1. Disengage the 9 claws and 2 guides to remove the rear door scuff plate LH.

  11. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and 3 guides.

    2. Disengage the 5 clips to remove the lower center pillar garnish LH.
  12. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the clip.
    3. Pass the anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH through the center pillar garnish assembly LH and remove the center pillar garnish assembly LH.
  13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  16. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  17. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  18. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  19. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH 
    1. Pull the rear seat side garnish LH as shown in the illustration to disengage the claw (A) and guide.

    2. Disengage the 3 claws (B) to remove the rear seat side garnish LH.

      HINT: 

      Disengage the claws from the upper side of the rear seat side garnish LH.

  20. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Using a clip remover, disengage the clip (A).

    2. Disengage the 3 clips (B).
    3. Disengage the 3 guides to remove the inner roof side garnish assembly LH.
  21. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  22. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  23. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL REINFORCEMENT ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CONDITIONING UNIT 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - 10/2016]

  24. REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR STAY HOLDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  25. REMOVE RAIN SENSOR COVER (w/o Lane Departure Alert System) 

    w/ Rain Sensor:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  26. REMOVE LANE DEPARTURE WARNING CAMERA COVER NO. 1 (w/ Lane Departure Alert System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  27. REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  28. REMOVE SPOT LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  29. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 assist grip covers.

      *a Protective Tape
      NOTE:

      Do not forcibly pry the assist grip cover to prevent it from being deformed.

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Disengage the 2 clips and remove the assist grip.

    3. Remove the 2 clips from the vehicle body.
  30. REMOVE REAR ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY LH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the front side.

  31. REMOVE REAR ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  32. REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER LH 
    1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws and remove the visor bracket cover LH.

  33. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and visor assembly LH.

  34. REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  35. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  36. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

    1. Turn the visor holder approximately 45° and pull it out as shown in the illustration.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the visor holder.
  37. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY 
    1. for Windshield Glass Side:
      1. Disconnect each connector.
    2. for Front Pillar LH Side:
      1. Disengage the 3 clamps.

      2. Disconnect the connector.
    3. for Roof Side (w/o Sliding Roof):

      1. Disengage the 10 claws.
      2. Slide the roof headlining assembly to disengage the 3 clips and 3 guides as shown in the illustration.

        HINT: 

        Leave the 3 clips installed the vehicle body.

    4. for Roof Side (w/ Sliding Roof):

      *a Fastener *b Guide
      1. Disconnect the connector from the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly.
      2. Disengage the 10 claws and 8 fasteners.
      3. Slide the roof headlining assembly to disengage the 3 clips and 2 guides as shown in the illustration.

        HINT: 

        Leave the 3 clips installed the vehicle body.

    5. Remove the roof headlining assembly from the vehicle through the front door LH as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE:

      Do not damage the roof headlining assembly or body interior.

    6. Remove the 3 clips from the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

  38. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    1. Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH.
  39. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    1. Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH.
  40. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  41. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
