Parking Brake Cable: Removal
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and the LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
- REMOVE REAR WHEEL
- SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH
- Remove the 2 bolts and separate the rear disc brake caliper assembly LH.
HINT:
Do not disconnect the flexible hose from the rear brake caliper assembly LH.
- Remove the 2 bolts and separate the rear disc brake caliper assembly LH.
- REMOVE REAR DISC (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE RETURN TENSION SPRING (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE STRUT SET LH (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY LH NO.1 (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTING SCREW SET LH (See DISASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY LH NO.2 (See DISASSEMBLY )
- SEPARATE SPEED SENSOR REAR LH (for 4WD) (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT LH NUT (for 4WD) (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB & BEARING ASSEMBLY LH (for 4WD) (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY NO. 3
- Remove the 2 bolts and separate the parking brake cable assembly No. 3 from the backing plate.
- Remove the 4 nuts and 2 bolts and separate the parking brake cable assembly No. 3 from the body.
- Separate the parking brake cable assembly No. 3 from the equalizer and remove the parking brake cable assembly No. 3.
- Remove the parking brake cable support bracket No. 1 from the parking brake cable assembly No. 3.
