REAR DRIVE SHAFT (for TMC Made 4WD): Removal
- REMOVE REAR WHEEL
- SEPARATE REAR SPEED SENSOR
- Remove the bolt and the speed sensor from the axle carrier.NOTE:
- Be careful not to damage the speed sensor.
- Prevent foreign matter from adhering to the speed sensor.
- Remove the bolt and the speed sensor from the axle carrier.
- REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT NUT
- Using SST(s) and a hammer, unstake part of the axle shaft LH nut.

NOTE: Loosen the staked part of the nut completely, otherwise the screw of the drive shaft may be damaged. - While applying the brakes, remove the lock axle shaft LH nut.
- Using SST(s) and a hammer, unstake part of the axle shaft LH nut.
- SEPARATE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Air Suspension) (See REMOVAL )
- SEPARATE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ HID Headlight System) (See REMOVAL )
- SEPARATE NO. 1 REAR SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- SEPARATE REAR STRUT ROD ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- SEPARATE NO. 2 REAR SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- SEPARATE REAR AXLE CARRIER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
- Push the rear axle carrier sub-assembly LH toward the outside of the vehicle. Using plastic hammer, separate the rear drive shaft assembly LH from the rear axle carrier sub-assembly LH.NOTE:
- Be careful not to damage the joint boot and speed sensor rotor.
- Do not push out the axle carrier sub-assembly LH.
- Push the rear axle carrier sub-assembly LH toward the outside of the vehicle. Using plastic hammer, separate the rear drive shaft assembly LH from the rear axle carrier sub-assembly LH.
- REMOVE REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH
- Remove the rear drive shaft.
NOTE: Move the drive shaft assembly while keeping it level.
- Remove the rear drive shaft.
