AIR CONDITIONING UNIT (for Rear Side): Removal

  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM (See  REPLACEMENT   ) 
  2. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH  (See REMOVAL )
  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
    NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
  4. DISCONNECT AIR CONDITIONING TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the 3 claws and remove the cover.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 tubes.

    3. Remove the 2 O-rings from the tube.
  5. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat) 
    1. Remove the rear seat (see REMOVAL ).
  6. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Ottoman) 
    1. Remove the rear seat (see REMOVAL ).
  7. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Type) 
    1. Remove the rear seat (see REMOVAL ).
  8. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
    1. for Short Body:

      Remove the rear door scuff plate (see REMOVAL ).

    2. for Long Body:

      Remove the rear door scuff plate (see REMOVAL ).

  9. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 
    1. for Short Body:

      Remove the rear door scuff plate (see REMOVAL ).

    2. for Long Body:

      Remove the rear door scuff plate (see REMOVAL ).

  10. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH 
    1. for Short Body:

      Remove the rear seat side garnish (see REMOVAL ).

    2. for Long Body:

      Remove the rear seat side garnish (see REMOVAL ).

  11. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH 
    1. for Short Body:

      Remove the rear seat side garnish (see REMOVAL ).

    2. for Long Body:

      Remove the rear seat side garnish (see REMOVAL ).

  12. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER LH 
    1. for Short Body:

      Remove the roof side garnish inner (see REMOVAL ).

    2. for Long Body:

      Remove the roof side garnish inner (see REMOVAL ).

  13. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER RH 
    1. for Short Body:

      Remove the roof side garnish inner (see REMOVAL ).

    2. for Long Body:

      Remove the roof side garnish inner (see REMOVAL ).

  14. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY 
    1. w/ Rear Sunshade:

      Remove the package tray trim panel (see REMOVAL ).

    2. w/o Rear Sunshade:

      Remove the package tray trim panel (see REMOVAL ).

  15. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER COVER (w/ Rear Cooler) 
    1. Detach the 2 clips and remove the cover.
  16. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  17. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  18. REMOVE ROPE HOOK  (See REMOVAL )
  19. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH  (See REMOVAL )
  20. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD RH  (See REMOVAL )
  21. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT NO. 1 LIGHT ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  22. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY FRONT  (See REMOVAL )
  23. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE  (See REMOVAL )
  24. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY LH  (See REMOVAL )
  25. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY RH  (See REMOVAL )
  26. REMOVE ROOF SIDE NO. 2 AIR DUCT LH 
    1. Remove the clip.
    2. Detach the 2 clips and remove the duct.

  27. REMOVE ROOF SIDE NO. 2 AIR DUCT RH 
    1. Remove the clip.
    2. Detach the 2 clips and remove the duct.

  28. REMOVE NO. 4 AIR DUCT REAR

    1. Detach the 4 claws and remove the duct.
  29. REMOVE NO. 5 AIR DUCT REAR 
    1. Detach the 4 claws and remove the duct.

  30. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER AIR DUCT 
    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the duct.

  31. REMOVE NO. 2 COOLER AIR DUCT 
    1. Detach the 3 claws and remove the duct.

  32. REMOVE REAR COOLING UNIT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the clamp and 2 connectors.
    2. Remove the 4 bolts and rear cooling unit.
