Luggage Door Hinge Torsion Bar: Removal

REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE COVER LH
1. Remove the 3 clips and door hinge cover.

REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the 4 bolts and 4 rope hooks.

1. Remove the 4 rope hooks by pushing the claws in the direction of the arrows in the illustration.

REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD RH
1. Remove the clip.
2. Remove the side deck trim.

REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the light assembly.
REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT NO. 2 TRIM HOOK (w/o Rear Cooler)
1. Detach the No. 2 trim hook.
REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER COVER (w/ Rear Cooler) (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER FRONT
1. w/o Rear Cooler:
  1. Remove the 4 claws, 3 clips and trim.

2. w/ Rear Cooler:
  1. Remove the 4 claws, 5 clips and trim.

REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
1. Remove the 3 clips and finish plate.

REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR RH
1. Detach the 3 clips and luggage door wire.

2. Remove the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH from the body LH side as shown in the illustration.

3. Using SST, disconnect the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH from the luggage door hinge and body RH side as shown in the illustration.

4. Disconnect the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH from the luggage compartment door torsion bar support as shown in the illustration.

REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR LH
1. Remove the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH from the body RH side as shown in the illustration.

2. Using SST, disconnect the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH from the luggage door hinge and body RH side as shown in the illustration.

3. Disconnect the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH from the luggage compartment door torsion bar support as shown in the illustration.
