Rear Sunshade Assembly: Removal

  1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH  (See REMOVAL )
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
    NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type) 
    1. Remove the rear seat (see REMOVAL ).
  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat) 
    1. Remove the rear seat (see REMOVAL ).
  5. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Ottoman) 
    1. Remove the rear seat (see REMOVAL ).
  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
    1. for Standard Body:

      Remove the rear door scuff plate (see REMOVAL  ).

    2. for Long Body:

      Remove the rear door scuff plate (see REMOVAL  ).

  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 
    1. for Standard Body:

      Remove the rear door scuff plate (see REMOVAL  ).

    2. for Long Body:

      Remove the rear door scuff plate (see REMOVAL  ).

  8. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH (See  REMOVAL   ) 
  9. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH (See  REMOVAL   ) 
  10. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER LH (See  REMOVAL   ) 
  11. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER RH (See  REMOVAL   ) 
  12. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY 
    1. except Ottoman Seat:

      Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the 3 belt guides.

    2. for Ottoman Seat:

      Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 belt guides.

    3. Detach the 2 clips of the panel. Then pass the rear seat belt floor anchors through the panel.

    4. w/o Rear Cooler: Remove the panel.
    5. w/ Rear Cooler:

      Disconnect the solar sensor connector and remove the panel.

  13. REMOVE ROOF SIDE NO. 2 AIR DUCT LH (w/ Rear Cooler)  (See REMOVAL )
  14. REMOVE ROOF SIDE NO. 2 AIR DUCT RH (w/ Rear Cooler)  (See REMOVAL )
  15. REMOVE REAR NO. 4 AIR DUCT (w/ Rear Cooler)  (See REMOVAL )
  16. REMOVE REAR NO. 5 AIR DUCT (w/ Rear Cooler)  (See REMOVAL )
  17. REMOVE STEREO COMPONENT SPEAKER ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  18. REMOVE NO. 2 PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the 5 claws and 3 clips.

  19. REMOVE REAR SUNSHADE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 5 bolts.
    2. Loosen the bolt labeled A and remove the sunshade.
      NOTE: Do not remove the bolt labeled A.
