Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Position the hub and bearing to the knuckle.
  2. Press the halfshaft inboard slightly and install the hub and bearing bolts (1).
  3. Tighten the hub and bearing bolts (1) to the proper specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Install the wheel speed sensor to the knuckle, and tighten the wheel speed sensor to knuckle bolt to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Install the outer tie rod end to the knuckle. Refer to INSTALLATION, OUTER TIE ROD .

  6. Install the special tool 1870815000 (1a), and install the NEW  hub nut (1b) to the proper specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

  7. Stake the hub nut (1) as shown with special tool (special tool #10287-1, Tool, Staking).
  8. Install the front brake rotor. Refer to ROTOR, BRAKE, FRONT, INSTALLATION .
  9. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  10. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
