4 Wheel Drive: Installation

- Install the stabilizer bar. Refer to STABILIZER BAR, REAR SUSPENSION, INSTALLATION .
- Line up the rear crossmember assembly with the marks (1) made during removal.
- Tighten the bolts (1b) to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Remove the hydraulic lift complete with tools.
- Install the rear suspension control arms but do not tighten the fasteners at this time.
- Install the rear drive line module. Refer to INSTALLATION .
- Install the rear halfshafts. Refer to INSTALLATION .
- Connect the sway bar links (1) to the stabilizer bar and install a NEW nut (2) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the rear muffler. Refer to MUFFLER, EXHAUST, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, 1.3L or MUFFLER, EXHAUST, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, 2.4L .
- Install the rear wheels. Refer to INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
- Perform wheel alignment. Refer to WHEEL ALIGNMENT, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
