Front Wheel Drive

- Raise and support the vehicle Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove both rear knuckles. Refer to KNUCKLE, REAR, REMOVAL .
- Remove the muffler. Refer to MUFFLER, EXHAUST, REMOVAL .
- Remove the rear stabilizer bar. Refer to STABILIZER BAR, REAR SUSPENSION, REMOVAL .
- Separate the vent tube from the crossmember.
- Remove the ride height sensor, if equipped.
- Separate the wire harness from the crossmember.
- Remove the rear crossmember mounting bolts (2, 3) and remove the rear crossmember (4) from the vehicle.
- If necessary, remove the spring links. Refer to LINK, SPRING, REMOVAL .
- If necessary, remove the bushings. Refer to ISOLATOR, REAR CROSSMEMBER, FRAME, REMOVAL .
