Stabilizer Bar, Rear Suspension: Removal

Before proceeding. Refer to WARNING .

NOTE:

The stabilizer cushions are not serviced separately. If they require replacement, the entire stabilizer bar must be replaced.

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
On each side of the vehicle, while holding the stabilizer bar link studs stationary, remove the nuts (1) securing the link (2) to the stabilizer bar.

On each side of the vehicle, remove the rear crossmember bracket to body bolts (2).
On each side of the vehicle, remove the bracket to cradle nuts (1) and remove the brackets.

On each side of the vehicle, remove the upper and lower screws (5) securing the stabilizer bar (2) to the crossmember.
Remove the stabilizer bar (2) from the vehicle.
