Plate, Carrier: Removal

  1. Remove the door trim panel, Refer to PANEL, REAR DOOR TRIM, REMOVAL .
  2. Remove the fasteners (1) and separate the wire harness (1) from the carrier plate.
  3. Disconnect the door glass from the window regulator and secure in the full up position using tape or other suitable tool. Refer to GLASS, DOOR, REMOVAL .

    4. NOTE:

    Front door shown, rear door similar.

  4. Remove the exterior door handle, Refer to HANDLE, EXTERIOR, REMOVAL .
  5. Remove the fastener (3) located beneath the exterior door handle.

  6. Remove the latch fasteners (3), located on the inner face of the door and the fastener (2) located on the inner door surface.

  7. Separate the wire harness from the carrier plate as necessary to gain enough slack in the harness to remove the carrier plate from the door.
  8. Remove the carrier plate fasteners (1).
  9. Remove the carrier plate from the door (3).
  10. Disconnect and release the remaining harness connectors.
  11. Remove the carrier (1) plate from the vehicle.
