Panel, Rear Door Trim: Removal

- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Pull out on the interior door handle (1) and using a (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, remove the bezel (2) located in the cavity.
- Remove the fastener (1) and fastener (3) securing the door trim panel to the carrier plate.
- Using a trim stick or equivalent, remove the window switch (1) from the door and disconnect the electrical connector (2).
- Using a trim stick or equivalent, remove the liner (4) from the door trim pull handle.
- Remove the fastener (3) securing the door trim panel to the carrier plate.
- Using a trim stick or equivalent, pry the door trim panel away from the door (1), starting on the bottom edge and working around the perimeter, to release the retaining clips (2).
- Lift the door trim panel (1) up and out. Position the door trim panel slightly away, do not remove.
- Separate the cables (2) from the handle assembly.
- Remove the door trim panel from the vehicle.
