Test TC-141A - Governor Pressure Not Equal To Target @ 15-20 Psi (DTC 45/P1756)

CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE: For connector terminal identification, you should see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS . You should also perform the VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A  after each repair.
NOTE: This procedure checks vehicle harness for shorts and opens between PCM and governor pressure sensor.
  1. Using scan tool, read DTCs. Repair any other transmission related DTCs before proceeding. See Figure. Perform appropriate test(s). If no other transmission related DTCs exist, go to next step.
  2. Start engine. Allow engine to reach operating temperature. With engine running, put gear selector in Neutral and go to next step.
  3. Using scan tool, read governor pressure sensor value. If scan tool displays more than 0 PSI, perform TEST TC-141B . If scan tool displays 0 PSI, go to next step.
  4. Set parking brake, depress brake pedal and put gear selector in Drive. Read governor pressure sensor value. If scan tool displays more than 0 PSI, perform TEST TC-141C . If scan tool displays 0 PSI, leave engine on and perform TEST TC-141D .
