Test 7B - Governor Pressure Sensor Signal

NOTE:
Perform TEST 7A

. Perform TEST 3A - VERIFICATION TEST
after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
- Disconnect transmission 8-pin connector. Connect jumper wire between terminals No. 2 and 3 on transmission 8-pin connector. Connect and disconnect (3-5 times) additional jumper wire between ground and terminal No. 4 on transmission 8-pin connector.
- If scan tool displays that PRESSURE SENSE voltage changes from 4.5 volts (approximate) to zero volts, repair open governor pressure signal circuit. If voltage does not change, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Transmission Control Module (TCM). Use external ohmmeter. Measure resistance between terminal No. 4 on transmission 8-pin connector and terminal No. E3 on TCM connector. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open governor pressure signal circuit. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace TCM.
