Test 8D - Repairing Battery Feed Input Circuit

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see Figure .
NOTE: Perform TEST 8A  and TEST 8B  before proceeding.
  1. Remove and inspect fuse No. 6. If fuse is okay, go to next step. If fuse is open, using DRB in ohmmeter mode, check resistance at VTA module connector terminal No. 9 (Black/Tan wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in fused battery feed circuit wire (Black/Tan wire). Replace fuse. Perform TEST VER-1A  . If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace fuse. Perform TEST VER-1A  .
  2. Using DRB in voltmeter mode, check voltage at left side of fuse receptacle battery feed circuit (Red/Yellow wire). If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open battery feed circuit (Red/Yellow wire). Perform TEST VER-1A  . If voltage is more than 10 volts, repair open fused battery feed circuit (Black/Tan wire). Perform TEST VER-1A  .
