Auxiliary HVAC Module Replacement

Preliminary Procedure

1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
3. Remove the wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement .
4. Remove auxiliary heater pipe - rear. Refer to Auxiliary Heater Pipe Replacement - Rear .
5. Remove auxiliary evaporator tube - rear. Refer to Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Rear Tube Replacement .
6. Partially drain the engine coolant from the coolant lines at the auxiliary HVAC module. Drain the heater core and plug lines/tubes to prevent loss of coolant.
7. Lower the vehicle and remove the body side trim panel - right side. Refer to Body Side Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side .
8. Disconnect wiring connector and ground(s) from HVAC module.
9. Disconnect the auxiliary air distributor ducts. Refer to Auxiliary Air Distributor Lower Duct Replacement  and Auxiliary Air Distributor Duct Replacement - Upper .

Tighten:  9 N.m (80 lb in)
