Preliminary Procedure Remove the rear seat number 2, if equipped. Refer to Rear Number 2 Seat Replacement . Remove the right body lock pillar garnish molding - upper. Refer to Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement - Upper (SUV) or Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement - Upper (SUT) . Remove the liftgate sill panel trim. Refer to Liftgate Sill Trim Plate Replacement . Remove the right body rear corner upper garnish molding. Refer to Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Replacement .
1	Body Side Trim Panel Assembly Procedure Remove the cap, nut and washer securing the inflator line to the body side trim panel. Grasp the trim panel and pull outward disengaging the retainer clips securing the trim panel to the body. Disconnect the electrical connections. When replacing the body side trim panel, transfer all necessary parts.
2	Retainer Clip (Qty: 10)

Remove the right body rear corner upper garnish molding. Refer to Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Replacement .

Body Side Trim Panel Assembly

Procedure

Remove the cap, nut and washer securing the inflator line to the body side trim panel.
Grasp the trim panel and pull outward disengaging the retainer clips securing the trim panel to the body.
Disconnect the electrical connections.
When replacing the body side trim panel, transfer all necessary parts.
