Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (LWB w/CJ3)

Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (LWB w/CJ3)

Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Disable roof rail SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Remove front assist handle. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement - Front .
  3. Remove windshield garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Windshield Pillar .
  4. Remove the sunshade assembly and the sunshade retainers. Refer to Sunshade Replacement .
  5. Remove roof console assembly. Refer to Roof Console Replacement .
  6. Remove front door sill plate. Refer to Front Side Door Sill Plate Replacement .
  7. Remove rear door sill plate. Refer to Rear Side Door Sill Plate Replacement (Extended Wheelbase) or Rear Side Door Sill Plate Replacement (Standard Wheelbase) .
  8. Remove center pillar lower molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Center Pillar Lower .
  9. Remove center pillar upper molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Center Pillar Upper .
  10. Remove lock pillar molding. Refer to Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) or Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Suburban/Yukon XL/Escalade ESV) or Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade) .
  11. Remove back body opening molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Door Upper .
  12. Remove body rear corner upper molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Corner (Tahoe/Suburban) .
  13. Remove coat hooks. Refer to Coat Hook Replacement .
  14. Remove rear overhead console. Refer to Overhead Console Replacement - Rear (w/o DVD) or Overhead Console Replacement - Rear (with DVD) .
  15. Remove rear headliner trim panel assembly. Refer to Headlining Rear Trim Panel Replacement (Extended Wheelbase) .
  16. Place rear seats in stowed position.
  17. Remove front seat headrest.

2 Sunshade Retainer (Qty: 2)
3 Headliner Trim Panel Assembly
Tip: 
  1. Prior to removal, note routing of the wire harness to aid in reassembly and to ensure proper installation.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
