Removal Procedure
- Lower the front of the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (SUT) or Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (SUV) .
- Disconnect the antenna cable from the antenna.
- Release the antenna cable from the cable clips above the headliner and the windshield pillar.
- Remove the right body hinge pillar trim panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side .
- Remove the XM radio receiver, if equipped. Refer to Digital Radio Receiver Replacement .
- Disconnect the antenna cable harness from the instrument panel (I/P) harness.
- Release the antenna cable from the hold down clips and tape below the I/P.
- Tie a piece of string or mechanics wire to the antenna cable harness end below the I/P.
- Carefully pull the cable end out from behind the I/P and above the top pad.
- Leaving the string/mechanics wire in place behind the I/P and disconnect the wire/string from the antenna cable.
- Release the antenna cable from the cable clips.
- Remove the antenna cable from the vehicle.
NOTE:
Use care when removing or installing the headliner. Excessive bending will damage the headliner.
IMPORTANT:
Note the antenna cable routing, clip and tape location during dis-assembly in order to route the cable back to factory routing.
