Removal Procedure

    NOTE: Use care when removing or installing the headliner. Excessive bending will damage the headliner.

  1. Lower the front of the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (SUT) or Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (SUV) .
  2. Disconnect the antenna cable from the antenna.
    3. IMPORTANT: Note the antenna cable routing, clip and tape location during dis-assembly in order to route the cable back to factory routing.
  3. Release the antenna cable from the cable clips above the headliner and the windshield pillar.
  4. Remove the right body hinge pillar trim panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side .
  5. Remove the XM radio receiver, if equipped. Refer to Digital Radio Receiver Replacement .
  6. Disconnect the antenna cable harness from the instrument panel (I/P) harness.
  7. Release the antenna cable from the hold down clips and tape below the I/P.
  8. Tie a piece of string or mechanics wire to the antenna cable harness end below the I/P.

  9. Carefully pull the cable end out from behind the I/P and above the top pad.
  10. Leaving the string/mechanics wire in place behind the I/P and disconnect the wire/string from the antenna cable.
  11. Release the antenna cable from the cable clips.
  12. Remove the antenna cable from the vehicle.
