NOTE:

- Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
12 Volt Battery Test (With Auto Idle Stop System) or
12 Volt Battery Test (Without Auto Idle Stop System) .
- Problem verification
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- 2. Make sure the volume is not set to the MIN level, and check for sound in all modes (AM/FM, USB, AUX, and CD).
Is there sound in all modes, and is the sound normal?
YES
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
NO: No sound is heard in all modes
The failure is duplicated in all modes, go to step 2.
NO: No sound is heard in AM/FM mode
NO: No sound is heard in USB mode
USB Device Does Not Function (With Navigation, With Auto Idle Stop System) (2016 2017 2018)
USB Device Does Not Function (With Navigation, Without Auto Idle Stop System) (2016 2017 2018)
NO: No sound is heard in AUX mode
Auxiliary Input Sound Is Low Or Cannot Be Heard (With Navigation) (2016 2017 2018)
NO: No sound is heard in CD mode
- Fuse check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Check the following fuse.
Fuse No. A2-8 (30 A) Location Under-hood fuse/relay box Is the fuse OK?
YES
Go to step 3.
NO
Replace the fuse, and recheck. If the fuse blows again, check for a short in the No. A2-8 (30 A) fuse circuit.
- Open wire check (+B AUDIO AMP line)
-1. Disconnect the following connector.
Stereo amplifier connector A (18P) - 2. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Stereo amplifier connector A (18P): disconnected Test point 1 Stereo amplifier connector A (18P) No. 3 -

The +B AUDIO AMP wire is OK. Go to step 4.
NO
Repair an open in the wire between the No. A2-8 (30 A) fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay box and the stereo amplifier.
- Open wire check (PGND line)
-1. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

The PGND wire is OK. Go to step 5.
NO
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire between the stereo amplifier and body ground (G405)
- Determine possible failure area (RADIO SW+B line, others)
-1. Disconnect the following connector.
Stereo amplifier connector B (28P) - 2. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- 3. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Disconnect the following connectors.
Audio-navigation unit connector A (24P) ANC/active sound control unit 20P connector - 3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

-1. Disconnect the following connectors.

Does the symptom go away?
YES
Replace the original stereo amplifier.
