NOTE:

  1. Problem verification

-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    - 2. Press the POWER button on to see if the audio-navigation unit turns on.

Does the audio system operate properly, and does the audio sound normal?

    YES

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.

    NO

The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.

  2. Fuse check

-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    - 2. Check the following fuses.

    Fuse No. C40 (7.5 A)
    Location Under-dash fuse/relay box
    Fuse No. D5 (20 A)
      No. D7 (7.5 A)
    Location Auxiliary under-dash fuse/relay box

    Are the fuses OK?

    YES

    Go to step 3.

    NO

Replace the fuse(s), and recheck. If the fuse(s) blows again, check for a short in the No. C40 (7.5 A) fuse, the No. D5 (20 A) fuse, and/or the No. D7 (7.5 A) fuse circuits.

  3. Open wire check (+B AUDIO (DC/DC) line)

    -1. Disconnect the following connector.

    Audio-navigation unit connector A (24P)

    - 2. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
    Audio-navigation unit connector A (24P): disconnected
Test point 1 Audio-navigation unit connector A (24P) No. 3 - Go to: Audio-Navigation Unit Connector For Inputs And Outputs (2016)
    Test point 2 Body ground

    Is there battery voltage?

    YES

The +B AUDIO (DC/DC) wire is OK. Go to step 4.

    NO

Repair an open in the wire between the No. D5 (20 A) fuse in the auxiliary under-dash fuse/relay box and the audio-navigation unit.

  4. Determine possible failure area (ACC (DC/DC) line, others)

-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    - 2. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

    Test condition

    Vehicle ON mode
    Audio-navigation unit connector A (24P): disconnected
Test point 1 Audio-navigation unit connector A (24P) No. 24 - Go to: Audio-Navigation Unit Connector For Inputs And Outputs (2016)
    Test point 2 Body ground

    Is there battery voltage?

    YES

    Go to step 8.

    NO

    Go to step 5.

  5. DC-DC converter ACC relay check

-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    - 2. Remove the DC-DC converter ACC relay from the auxiliary under-dash fuse/relay box, and test it. Power Relay Test

    Is the relay OK?

    YES

    Go to step 6.

    NO

Replace the DC-DC converter ACC relay.

  6. Open wire check (ACC RLY (DC/DC)/ACC (DC/DC) line)

-1. Connect terminals A and B with a jumper wire.

Terminal A DC-DC converter ACC relay 4P socket No. 1
Terminal B DC-DC converter ACC relay 4P socket No. 2

    - 2. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
    Audio-navigation unit connector A (24P): disconnected
    DC-DC converter ACC relay: disconnected
DC-DC converter ACC relay 4P socket No. 1 and No. 2: jumped
Test point 1 Audio-navigation unit connector A (24P) No. 24 - Go to: Audio-Navigation Unit Connector For Inputs And Outputs (2016)
    Test point 2 Body ground

    Is there battery voltage?

    YES

The ACC RLY (DC/DC)/ACC (DC/DC) wires are OK. Go to step 7.

    NO

Repair an open in the wire between the No. D7 (7.5 A) fuse in the auxiliary under-dash fuse/relay box and the audio-navigation unit.

  7. Open wire check (ACC line)

-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    - 2. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
