Installation Procedure

    With the aid of an assistant, install the instrument panel tie bar (1) to the vehicle.

  2. Install any wiring harness connectors or retainers secured to the instrument panel tie bar (1).

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Body Hinge Pillar Outer Panel Hole Plug - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [4x]

    Windshield Wiper System Module (3) - Install

  10. Connect the electrical connector.
  11. Windshield Wiper System Module Bolt (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  12. Windshield Wiper System Module Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Windshield Wiper System Module Shield (1) - Install

    Air Inlet Grille Panel (2) - Install

    Windshield Washer Pump Hose (1) @ Windshield Washer Nozzle Hose (2) - Connect

    Hood Rear Outer Air Inlet Seal - Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install [2x]

  18. Hood Rear Outer Air Inlet Seal Retainer - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]

    Air Inlet Grille Panel Extension - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]

  20. Clean the wiper motor pivot shaft knurls with a soft wire brush before installing a new wiper arm.
  21. Position the wiper arm on the wiper motor pivot shaft.

    Windshield Wiper Arm (3) - Install [2x]

  23. Windshield Wiper Arm Nut (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  24. Windshield Wiper Arm Nut Cap (1) - Install [2x]
  25. Align the windshield wiper arm. Windshield Wiper Arm Adjustment

    Instrument Panel Tie Bar Brace (2) - Install [2x]

  27. Instrument Panel Tie Bar Brace Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications 
  28. Connect the wiring harness retainers as necessary.

    Brake Pedal Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

  35. Connect the wiring harness retainers as necessary.

    Windshield Defroster Outlet Duct (1) - Install

  40. Connect the electrical connector.
  41. Connect the wiring harness retainers as necessary.

    Windshield Defroster Outlet Duct Bolt (1) Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Side Window Defogger Outlet Duct - Right Side (1) - Install

  44. Connect the wiring harness retainers as necessary.

    { If equipped } Head - Up Display Bracket (2) - Install

  51. { If equipped } Install the clip.
  52. { If equipped } Head - Up Display Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    { If equipped } Connect the electrical connector.

  54. { If equipped } Head - Up Display (2) - Install
  55. { If equipped } Head - Up Display Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    With the aid of an assistant, install the left side and right side front side doors (1).

  58. Align the left side and right side door hinges with the markings made with the grease pencil.

    Front Side Door Hinge Bolt - Door Side - Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install and tighten [8x] - Fastener Specifications

  60. If NEW threaded components are being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded components are reused, prepare the threaded components using the following steps:
    1. Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the components using a lint free cloth.
    2. Thread the cleaned components into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
    3. Remove loose debris from internal and external threads using compressed air.
    4. Apply liquid thread locking adhesive in a strip along half of the length of the external threads, starting at the tip, just prior to installation. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
  61. Front Side Door Check Link Bolt - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Connect the left side and right side front side door wiring harness (1) electrical connector.

  63. Inspect the left side and right side door for proper operation and alignment.
  64. If necessary, adjust the left side and right side front side door. Front Side Door Adjustment
