Installation Procedure

- Connect Starter Solenoid Connector (1)
- Install Starter Solenoid Cable (3)
- Install and tighten Starter Solenoid Cable Nut (2) to 12.5 N.m (111 lb in)
- Install Starter (4)
- Install and tighten Starter Solenoid Cable Retainer Bolt (2) to 6 N.m (53 lb in)
- Install and tighten Starter Mounting Bolt (1) (Qty: 2) to 58 N.m (43 lb ft)
- Install Starter Heat Shield (2). Refer to Starter Shield Replacement (LF4)
- Position the heated oxygen sensor connector (1).
- Install Turbocharger Oil Return Pipe (1). Refer to Turbocharger Oil Return Pipe Replacement (Bank 1)Turbocharger Oil Return Pipe Replacement (Bank 2)
- Install Engine Mount Bracket (1). Refer to Engine Mount Bracket Replacement - Left Side (LF4)
- Raise the transmission.
- Install Range Selector Lever Cable (1). Refer to Range Selector Lever Cable Replacement
- Install Propeller Shaft (1) @ Transmission (2). Refer to Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement (LF4)
- Install Transmission Support (1). Refer to Transmission Support Replacement (Automatic RWD)
- Lower the vehicle.
- Connect the starter solenoid cable connector to the engine harness connector (1).
- Install Air Cleaner Assembly (1). Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (LF4)
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
