Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the intake manifold (2). Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement (LF4) .
    2. Fig 1: View Of Ignition Coils

  2. Remove the ignition coils. Refer to Ignition Coil Replacement - Bank 1 (LF4)
  3. Remove the plenum front panel. Refer to Plenum Front Panel Replacement .
  4. Remove the right diagonal brace. Refer to Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Replacement - Right Side (ATS-V) .
  5. Disconnect and remove the engine harness from the camshaft cover.

  6. Remove the right camshaft cover bolts.

  7. Remove the right camshaft cover from the right cylinder head.
  8. Install the EN-46101  guide onto the spark plug tubes of the right cylinder head.
  9. Disassemble the camshaft cover as needed. Refer to Camshaft Cover Disassemble (LF4) .
  10. Clean the mating surfaces of the cylinder head and the camshaft cover. Refer to Camshaft Cover Cleaning and Inspection (LF4)
