Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the J 28467-B  . See Special Tools .
  2. Remove the J-28467-550  .
    3. Fig 1: Identifying Shock Module Mounting Stud & Bolt

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the shock module mounting stud (2) and bolt (1) to the left and right shock towers.

    Tighten:  Tighten the studs and bolts to 112 N.m (83 lb ft).

  4. Remove the right and left engine lift brackets from the engine.
  5. Install the Bank 2 (Left Side) exhaust camshaft position sensor. Refer to Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement - Bank 2 (Left Side) Exhaust (LY7) .
  6. Install the power steering reservoir. Refer to Remote Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement .
  7. Install the vacuum pump, if equipped.
  8. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LY7) or Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LLT) .
  9. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LY7)  or Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LLT) .
  10. Install the cross vehicle brace. Refer to Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement .
  11. Install the engine compartment sight shields. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement .
