Improper Air Delivery

NOTE: Definition: Air does not flow correctly from the air distribution outlets.

Did you review DESCRIPTION & OPERATION and perform the necessary inspections? If so, go to next step. If not, see DESCRIPTION , OPERATION and TROUBLE SHOOTING .
Turn ignition on. Place the blower control in the OFF position. Is the blower motor off? If so, go to next step. If not, see SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
Place the blower control in each speed position. Does the blower motor operate at all? If so, go to next step. If not, see BLOWER MOTOR INOPERATIVE .
Does the blower motor operate correctly for each speed position? If so, go to next step. If not, see BLOWER MOTOR MALFUNCTION .
Is the HVAC control assembly mode selection inoperative in all positions? If so, see VACUUM CONTROL SYSTEM under SYSTEM TESTS. If not, problem is intermittent. See SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS .
