DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition AWD C068F:17 4WD/AWD Clutch "A" Actuator Range Sensor: Circuit Voltage Above Threshold Sets when the AWD module detects transfer case unit Clutch "A" Actuator Range Sensor detects Circuit voltage above threshold. AWD C068F:34 4WD/AWD Clutch "A" Actuator Range Sensor: Signal High Time Less Than Minimum Sets when the AWD module detects transfer case unit Clutch "A" Actuator Range Sensor detects signal <5% DC. AWD C068F:35 4WD/AWD Clutch "A" Actuator Range Sensor: Signal High Time Greater Than Maximum Sets when the AWD module detects transfer case unit Clutch "A" Actuator Range Sensor detects the clutch "A" range position sensor signal > 95% DC. AWD C068F:36 4WD/AWD Clutch "A" Actuator Range Sensor: Signal Frequency Too Low Sets when the AWD module detects transfer case unit Clutch "A" Actuator Range Sensor detects Signal frequency too low. AWD C068F:37 4WD/AWD Clutch "A" Actuator Range Sensor: Signal Frequency Too High Sets when the AWD module detects transfer case unit Clutch "A" Actuator Range Sensor detects signal frequency too high. AWD C068F:49 4WD/AWD Clutch "A" Actuator Range Sensor: Internal Electronic Failure Sets when the AWD module detects transfer case unit Clutch "A" Actuator Range Sensor detects internal electronic failure. AWD C068F:86 4WD/AWD Clutch "A" Actuator Range Sensor: Signal Invalid Sets when the AWD module detects transfer case unit Clutch "A" Actuator Range Sensor detects signal invalid. AWD C068F:94 4WD/AWD Clutch "A" Actuator Range Sensor: Unexpected Operation Sets when the AWD module detects transfer case unit Clutch "A" Actuator Range Sensor detects Unexpected Operation. AWD C068F:96 4WD/AWD Clutch "A" Actuator Range Sensor: Component Internal Failure Sets when the AWD module detects transfer case unit Clutch "A" Actuator Range Sensor detects transfer case unit control circuit driver component internal failure. AWD C068F:A3 4WD/AWD Clutch "A" Actuator Range Sensor: System Voltage High Sets when the AWD module detects transfer case unit Clutch "A" Actuator Range Sensor detects system voltage high. Possible Sources
- Connectors damaged or pushed-out terminals, corrosion, loose wires and missing or damaged seals
- Transfer case unit Clutch "A" Actuator Range Sensor
- AWD module
- K1 CARRY OUT THE AWD (ALL-WHEEL DRIVE) CONTROL MODULE SELF-TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform AWD control module self-test.
Are any DTC present?
Yes GO to K2 No The system is operating correctly at this time. System is operating correctly at this time, if an observable symptom is present refer to the symptom chart. - K2 CHECK FOR VOLTAGE CIRCUIT
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect for AWD clutch solenoid C3734.
- Ignition ON.
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C3734-1 Ground
Is the voltage approximately 5 volts?
Yes GO to K3 No GO to K4 - K3 CHECK FOR GROUND CIRCUIT
- Ignition OFF.
