DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition BCM B126A:01 Drivers Door Interior Lock Switch: General Electrical Failure Sets during an on-demand self-test if the BCM is receiving a lock or unlock request. DDM B108F:23 Cabin Lock/Unlock Switch: Signal Stuck Low Set by the DDM when a short to ground is detected from one of the door lock control switch input circuits. PDM B108F:23 Cabin Lock/Unlock Switch: Signal Stuck Low Set by the PDM when a short to ground is detected from one of the door lock control switch input circuits. Possible Sources
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Door lock control switch
- BCM (without passenger door one-touch windows)
- DDM (with passenger door one-touch windows)
- PDM (with passenger door one-touch windows)
- NOTE: Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
- L1 CHECK FOR DOOR LOCK SWITCH DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the self-test for the following modules:
- BCM (for vehicles without passenger door one-touch windows)
- DDM (for vehicles with passenger door one-touch windows)
- PDM (for vehicles with passenger door one-touch windows)
Is DTC B126A:01 set in the BCM or DTC B108F:23 set in the DDM or PDM?
Yes GO to L2 No GO to L4 - L2 ISOLATE THE DOOR LOCK CONTROL SWITCH
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: Suspect door lock control switch.
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the self-test for the following modules:
- BCM (for vehicles without passenger door one-touch windows)
- DDM (for vehicles with passenger door one-touch windows)
- PDM (for vehicles with passenger door one-touch windows)
Is DTC B126A:01 set in the BCM or DTC B108F:23 set in the DDM or PDM?
Yes GO to L3 No INSTALL a new door lock control switch. REFER to: Front Door Lock Control Switch . - L3 CHECK THE DOOR LOCK CONTROL SWITCH INPUT CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
- Ignition OFF.
- For DTC B126A:01 set in the BCM, Disconnect: BCM C2280F.
- For DTC B108F:23 set in the DDM, Disconnect:
- DDM C501A.
- For DTC B108F:23 set in the PDM, Disconnect:
- PDM C652A.
- If DTC B126A:01 is set in the BCM, measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C2280F-20 Ground C2280F-25 Ground
- If DTC B108F:23 is set in the DDM, measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C501A-10 Ground C501A-20 Ground
- If DTC B108F:23 is set in the PDM, measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C652A-10 Ground C652A-20 Ground
Are the resistances greater than 10, 000 ohms?
Yes For the BCM, GO to L10 For the DDM, GO to L11 For the PDM, GO to L12 No REPAIR the circuit in question. - L4 CHECK THE LOCK REQUEST INPUT CIRCUIT
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: Suspect door lock control switch.
- For the rear passenger door lock control switch (if equipped), connect:
Lead 1 Measurement / Action Lead 2 C3813-3 C3813-1
- Remove the fused jumper wire.
Do the doors lock?
Yes GO to L7 No * For vehicles without passenger door one-touch windows, GO to L5 .
* For vehicles with passenger door one-touch windows, GO to L6 . - L5 CHECK THE LOCK REQUEST INPUT CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN FOR VEHICLES WITHOUT PASSENGER DOOR ONE-TOUCH WINDOWS
- Disconnect: BCM C2280F.
- For the LHF door lock control switch, measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C541-2 C2280F-25
- For the RHF door lock control switch, measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C632-4 C2280F-25
- For the rear passenger door lock control switch (if equipped), measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C3813-3 C2280F-25
Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?
Yes GO to L10 No REPAIR the circuit. - L6 CHECK THE LOCK REQUEST INPUT CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN FOR VEHICLES WITH PASSENGER DOOR ONE-TOUCH WINDOWS
- Disconnect: DDM C501A for vehicles with a driver or rear passenger door lock control switch concern.
- Disconnect: PDM C652A for vehicles with a passenger door lock control switch concern.
- For the LHF door lock control switch, measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C541-2 C501A-20
- For the RHF door lock control switch, measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C632-4 C652A-20
- For the rear passenger door lock control switch (if equipped), measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C3813-2 C501A-20
Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?
Yes * For a concern with the driver door lock control switch, GO to L11* For a concern with the passenger door lock control switch, GO to L12 No REPAIR the circuit. - L7 CHECK THE UNLOCK REQUEST INPUT CIRCUIT
- For the rear passenger door lock control switch (if equipped), connect:
Lead 1 Measurement / Action Lead 2 C3813-2 C3813-1
- Remove the fused jumper wire.
Do the doors unlock?
Yes INSTALL a new door lock control switch. REFER to: Front Door Lock Control Switch . No * For vehicles without passenger door one-touch windows, GO to L8 .
* For vehicles with passenger door one-touch windows, GO to L9 . - For the rear passenger door lock control switch (if equipped), connect:
- L8 CHECK THE UNLOCK REQUEST INPUT CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN FOR VEHICLES WITHOUT PASSENGER DOOR ONE-TOUCH WINDOWS
- Disconnect: BCM C2280F.
- For the LHF door lock control switch, measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C541-4 C2280F-20
- For the RHF door lock control switch, measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C632-2 C2280F-20
- For the rear passenger door lock control switch (if equipped), measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C3813-2 C2280F-20
Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?
Yes GO to L10 No REPAIR the circuit. - L9 CHECK THE UNLOCK REQUEST INPUT CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN FOR VEHICLES WITH PASSENGER DOOR ONE-TOUCH WINDOWS
- Disconnect: DDM C501A for vehicles with a driver or rear passenger door lock control switch concern.
- Disconnect: PDM C652A for vehicles with a passenger door lock control switch concern.
- For the LHF door lock control switch, measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C541-4 C501A-20
- For the RHF door lock control switch, measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C632-2 C652A-20
- For the rear passenger door lock control switch (if equipped), measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C3813-2 C501A-20
Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?
Yes For a concern with the passenger door lock control switch, GO to L12 For a concern with the driver or rear passenger (if equipped) door lock control switch, GO to L11 No REPAIR the circuit. - L10 CHECK FOR CORRECT BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect and inspect all the BCM connectors.
- Repair:
- Corrosion (clean module pins or install new connectors or terminals)
- Damaged or bent pins (install new terminals or pins)
- Pushed-out pins (install new pins as necessary)
- Reconnect the BCM connectors. Make sure they seat and latch correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable service articles: TSB, GSB, SSM, or FSA. If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions. If no service articles address this concern, Refer to BCM GUIDED ROUTINE TESTING No The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues. - L11 CHECK FOR CORRECT DDM (DRIVER DOOR MODULE) OPERATION
- Disconnect and inspect all the DDM connectors.
- Repair:
- corrosion (install new connectors or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - install new terminals pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
- Reconnect the DDM connectors and make sure they seat and latch correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable service articles: TSB, GSB, SSM, or FSA. If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions. If no service articles address this concern, INSTALL a new DDM. REFER to: Driver Door Module (DDM) . No The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues. - L12 CHECK FOR CORRECT PDM (PASSENGER DOOR MODULE) OPERATION
- Disconnect and inspect all the PDM connectors.
- Repair:
- corrosion (install new connectors or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - install new terminals pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
- Reconnect the PDM connectors and make sure they seat and latch correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable service articles: TSB, GSB, SSM, or FSA. If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions.
