All dimmable backlighting is completely inoperative	Instrument cluster.	INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . TEST the system for normal operation.
The instrument cluster illumination is inoperative	Instrument cluster.	INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . TEST the system for normal operation.
The message center/odometer display inoperative or does not dim	Instrument cluster	INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . TEST the system for normal operation.
The climate control illumination is inoperative - front or rear (if equipped)	Bulb(s). Circuitry. Front climate control assembly. Auxiliary climate control assembly.	Go To PINPOINT TEST B .
The audio system illumination is inoperative - front or rear	Circuitry. Audio unit. Rear audio control panel (RACP) (if equipped).	Go To PINPOINT TEST C .
A single illumination source is inoperative	Circuitry. Bulb. Component.	Go To PINPOINT TEST D .
A single illumination source is inoperative - front power window switch/front power lock switch	Switch.	INSTALL a new switch. TEST the system for normal operation.
The instrument panel illumination does not dim - backlighting is on at full brightness level	Circuitry. Panel dim switch. Instrument cluster.	Go To PINPOINT TEST E .
