System Tests: Notes

NOTE:
Failure to disconnect central security module (CSM) harness connectors in specified order, will cause a false PID and possible diagnostic trouble code. Disconnect harness connector C274b, then C274a. When connecting CSM, connect harness connector C274a, then C274b.
NOTE:
A New Generation Star (NGS) tester is required for testing power door lock system. After repair has been completed, always clear any DTCs that exist and recheck system for proper operation.
NOTE:
Keep driver's window rolled down when performing tests to avoid getting locked out of vehicle. Before beginning any testing, ensure battery is fully charged. Lubricate door lock latch and linkage system. Manually cycle door locks 10 times to ensure proper operation.
