Pinpoint Test V - Distance To Empty Does Not Go Below 200 Miles With Fuel Tank Empty, Or Distance To Empty Always Indicates Zero

  1. Check fuel gauge operation. If CO is in DISTANCE TO EMPTY display, go to PINPOINT TEST D  . If CS is in DISTANCE TO EMPTY display, go to PINPOINT TEST E  . If fuel gauge is okay, go to next step.
  2. Check speedometer for proper operation. If speedometer is okay, go to next step. If speedometer does not operate correctly, go to PINPOINT TEST L  .
  3. Inspect fuel delivery system for correct operation. Repair or replace as necessary. If fuel system is okay, replace instrument cluster.
