Right Front Fender: Installation

  1. Position fender and wheelhouse from vehicle.
  2. Install bolts attaching fender to upper radiator closure panel and tighten to 16 N.m (12 ft. lbs.).
  3. Install bolts attaching fender to upper cowl and tighten to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
  4. Install bolts attaching fender to hood hinge support bracket and tighten to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
  5. Install bolts attaching fender to lower radiator closure panel and tighten to 17 N.m (13 ft. lbs.).
  6. Install bolt attaching fender to lower rocker panel and tighten to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
  7. Position the wire harnesses on the inner fender and wheelhouse and engage clips.
  8. Install powertrain control module. (Refer to INSTALLATION (2003) or POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (2004))
  9. Install air cleaner element housing.
  10. Install right headlamp module. (Refer to INSTALLATION (2003) or HEADLAMP (2004))
  11. Install wheelhouse liner. (Refer to BODY/EXTERIOR/FRONT END SPLASH SHIELDS-INSTALLATION  )

  12. Install wheel opening molding. (Refer to BODY/EXTERIOR/WHEEL OPENING MOLDING-INSTALLATION  )
  13. Install right front wheel. (Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE )
  14. Connect battery negative cable.
