Left Front Fender: Installation

- Position fender and wheelhouse from vehicle.
- Install bolts attaching fender to upper radiator closure panel and tighten to 16 N.m (12 ft. lbs.).
- Install bolts attaching fender to upper cowl and tighten to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
- Install bolts attaching fender to hood hinge support bracket and tighten to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
- Install bolts attaching fender to lower radiator closure panel and tighten to 17 N.m (13 ft. lbs.).
- Install bolt attaching fender to lower rocker panel and tighten to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
- Position the hood release cable to inner fender and engage clips.
- Position the wire harnesses on the inner fender and wheelhouse and engage clips.
- Install HCU if equipped. (Refer to INSTALLATION )
- Install battery support bracket and battery tray. (Refer to INSTALLATION (2003) or BATTERY TRAY (2004))
- Install left headlamp module. (Refer to INSTALLATION (2003) or HEADLAMP (2004))
- Install wheelhouse liner. (Refer to BODY/EXTERIOR/FRONT END SPLASH SHIELDS-INSTALLATION )
- Install wheel opening molding. (Refer to BODY/EXTERIOR/WHEEL OPENING MOLDING-INSTALLATION )
- Install left front wheel. (Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE )
