Retrieving Diagnostic Trouble Codes: Notes

NOTE: Some DTCs can be retrieved with "N" range indicator light on instrument cluster. All DTCs can be retrieved using scan tool.

Ensure proper method is being used for available tools. See "N" RANGE INDICATOR LIGHT METHOD or SCAN TOOL METHOD to retrieve DTCs. Diagnose and repair as necessary. If no hard DTCs are present, and driveability symptoms or intermittent DTCs exist and scan tool is available, verify operating parameters before diagnosing circuits or components. See SCAN TOOL DATA .
