"N" Range Indicator Light Method
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
NOTE:
"N" range indicator light will flash once per second if a transaxle problem exists for some malfunctions. If indicator light flashes twice per second, overheated transaxle fluid is indicated. Allow transaxle fluid to cool by idling engine with transaxle in Park with engine hood open.
Turn ignition off. Using jumper wire, ground terminal No. 1 of Data Link Connector (DLC). See Fig 1 . Turn ignition on. Read DTCs by observing flash pattern of "N" range indicator light located on instrument cluster. First series of flashes indicates first digit of DTC. Second series of flashes indicates second digit of DTC. Example: 2 flashes followed by a pause, and then 6 flashes indicates DTC 26.
Record and identify DTCs. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION . Once DTCs are identified, perform appropriate diagnostic test as directed. See DIAGNOSTIC TESTS .
