Removal Procedure

- Intake Manifold Cover Replacement - Remove
- Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement - Remove
Disconnect the electrical connectors. (1)
- Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Pipe (2) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Unclip the engine wiring harness retainer (3) from the intake manifold.
Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Outlet Pipe Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Outlet Pipe (2) @ Intake Manifold - Separate
- Throttle Body Assembly Replacement - Remove
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
Intake Manifold Brace Bolt (2) - Remove [2x]
- Intake Manifold Brace (1) - Remove
- Lower the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
- NOTE:
Simplified graphic: Intake manifold is shown without intake manifold cover absorber.
NOTE:Loosen the intake manifold bolts to disengage threads; the bolts remain in the intake manifold.
Intake Manifold Bolt (1) - Remove [7x]
Intake Manifold (1) - Remove
- Intake Manifold Gasket (2) - Remove and DISCARD
- Clean and inspect the intake manifold. Intake Manifold Cleaning and Inspection
- Transfer components as necessary.
