Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LC8, LV1, L96) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE47716 LC8, LV1, L96)
  2. Recover the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging 
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

    Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Shield Push Pin (1) - Remove [2x]

  5. Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Shield Nut (2) - Remove
  6. Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Shield (3) - Remove

    Auxiliary Heater Outlet Hose Clamp (1) - Disengage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

  8. Auxiliary Heater Inlet Hose Clamp (2) - Disengage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  9. Auxiliary Heater Inlet Hose (6) - Remove
  10. Auxiliary Heater Outlet Hose (7) - Remove
  11. Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Nut (5) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose (4) - Remove
  12. Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose (4) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator - Remove
  13. Remove and DISCARD the sealing washer. (3) [2x]
  14. Lower the vehicle.
  15. Remove the appropriate rear bench seats. Rear Bench Seat Removal and Installation (With Bench Seat) , or Rear Bench Seat Removal and Installation (With Split Bench)
  16. Body Rear Corner Garnish Molding - Left Side - Remove - Body Rear Corner Garnish Molding Replacement
  17. Body Rear Corner Trim Panel - Left Side - Remove - Body Rear Corner Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side

    Auxiliary Air Conditioning Air Outlet Duct- Rear Pillar (2) - Remove - Auxiliary Air Conditioning Air Outlet Duct Replacement (Top Hat Cargo Van C69) , or Auxiliary Air Conditioning Air Outlet Duct Replacement (Rear Pillar Passenger Van)

    Rear Floor Auxiliary Air Outlet Duct (2) - Remove - Rear Floor Auxiliary Air Outlet Duct Replacement (Top Hat Cargo) , or Rear Floor Auxiliary Air Outlet Duct Replacement (Passenger Long Wheel Base Over the Axle) , or Rear Floor Auxiliary Air Outlet Duct Replacement (Front Long Wheel Base Passenger) , or Rear Floor Auxiliary Air Outlet Duct Replacement (Front Short Wheel Base Passenger)

    Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  21. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

    Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module (1) - Remove

  23. Transfer components as necessary.
