Installation Procedure

  1. Fig 1: Identifying Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor/Drain Plug And Fill Plug

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

    Install the transmission fluid temperature sensor/drain plug (2) and tighten to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).

  2. Connect the electrical connector to the transmission fluid temperature sensor/drain plug.
  3. Fill the transmission with transmission fluid. Transmission Fluid Level Inspection (MH3, MJK, MM6) , or Transmission Fluid Level Inspection (M13 Without Y4Q) , or Transmission Fluid Level Inspection (M13 With Y4Q Track Pack With or Without KNR) 
  4. Remove the drain pan.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
