Installation Procedure

  1. Install the air conditioning evaporator hose assembly (1).

    NOTE: Use NEW sealing washers.
  2. Position the upper tie bar assembly (1).

  3. Clip the electrical wiring harness retaining clips around the front upper tie bar assembly.
  4. Connect any electrical connectors around the front upper tie bar assembly.
  5. Install the upper tie bar to front compartment side rail retaining nut right side (1) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  6. Install the upper tie bar to front compartment side rail retaining nut left side (1) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  7. Install the upper tie bar to impact bar retaining bolts right side (1) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  8. Install the upper tie bar to impact bar retaining bolts left side (1) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  9. Install the air conditioning evaporator hose assembly bolt (1) to air conditioning condenser and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  10. Install the air conditioning evaporator hose assembly nut (2) to air conditioning compressor and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
  11. Clip the air conditioning evaporator hose assembly clips (1) from hose assembly (2).

  12. Install the air conditioning evaporator hose assembly mounting bracket nut (2) and tighten to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  13. Install the air conditioning evaporator hose assembly nut (1) to air conditioning evaporator thermal expansion valve and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
  14. Connect the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor electrical connector.
  15. Install the radiator air upper baffle. Refer to Radiator Air Upper Baffle and Deflector Replacement .
  16. Install the surge tank bolts and position the surge tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement .
  17. Install the air cleaner inlet duct to the air cleaner outlet resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement .
  18. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (L5Q) .
  19. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  20. Install the headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement (Projection/SBV)Headlamp Replacement (BASE/SBM) .
  21. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .
  22. Charge the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-134a) Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-1234yf) .
  23. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
