Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
- Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .
- Remove the head lamps. Refer to Headlamp Replacement (Projection/SBV)Headlamp Replacement (BASE/SBM) .
- Remove the surge tank bolts and reposition the surge tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement .
- Remove the air cleaner inlet duct from the upper tie bar. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement .
- Remove the upper tie bar to impact bar retaining bolts left side (1).
- Remove the upper tie bar to impact bar retaining bolts right side (1).
- Remove the upper tie bar to front compartment side rail retaining nut left side (1).
- Remove the upper tie bar to front compartment side rail retaining nut right side (1).
- Disconnect any electrical connectors from the radiator.
- Unclip the electrical wiring harness retaining clips around the front upper tie bar assembly.
- Pull up and reposition the upper tie bar assembly (1).
- Remove the radiator lower bracket bolts (1).
- Pull up the condenser radiator fan module slightly to remove the radiator lower bracket.
- Remove the radiator lower bracket (2).
