Removal Procedure

  1. Reposition the radiator surge tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement .
  2. Remove the hood primary and secondary latch to disconnect the cable. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the hood primary latch release cable (1) from the hood primary and secondary latch.

  4. Disconnect the hood primary latch release cable (1) from the hood release cable retainers (2).

  5. Remove the instrument panel knee bolster. Refer to Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Replacement .
  6. Remove the hood primary latch release cable handle. Refer to Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Handle Replacement .
  7. Remove the front side door sill garnish molding. Refer to Front Side Door Sill Garnish Molding Replacement .
  8. Remove the body control module bracket. Refer to Body Control Module Bracket Replacement
  9. Remove hood primary latch release cable grommet (3) from the dash panel.

  10. Remove the Hood primary latch release cable handle screw (4) and remove the hood primary latch release cable (1) from the Hinge pillar inner panel
