Installation Procedure

- Connect all electrical connectors.
- Connect engine coolant hoses as necessary
- Transmission Replacement - Install
- Slowly and carefully lower the vehicle, ensure the powertrain assembly are free from wiring, hoses and other engine compartment components.
- Engine Support Fixture - Install
- CAUTION:CAUTION:
Transmission Mount Bolt(1) - Install and tighten[3x] - Use NEW bolts.
- First Pass: 50 N.m (37 lb ft)
- Final Pass:60 - 75 degress use the EN-45059 meter
- CAUTION:
Engine Mount Bolt(1) - Install and tighten[3x] - Use NEW bolts.
- First Pass: 50 N.m (37 lb ft)
- Final Pass:60 - 75 degress use the EN-45059 Angle Meter
- Raise the vehicle.
- NOTE:
A second technician is required.
Raise the drivetrain and front suspension frame (5) with a suitable jack (2) to the vehicle.
- Install and hand tighten the 2 drivetrain and front suspension frame front bolts (7).
- Drivetrain and Front Suspension Support(1) - Install[2x]
- Install and hand tighten 2 drivetrain and front suspension frame rear bolts (3).
- Drivetrain and Front Suspension Support Bolt(2) - Install Do NOT tighten.[4x]
- Transmission Front Mount Fastener(6) - Install and tighten 100 N.m (74 lb ft)
- Transmission Mount Bolt(4) - Install and tighten 100 N.m (74 lb ft)
- Tighten the 4 drivetrain and front suspension frame bolts to 160 N.m (118 lb ft)
- Drivetrain and Front Suspension Support Bolt(2) - Tighten 100 N.m (74 lb ft)[4x]
- Underbody Brace Replacement - Middle X-Rod - Install
- Transmission Fluid Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement @Transmission - Install
- Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet Pipe Replacement @Transmission - Install
- Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose Replacement @Charge Air Cooler - Install
- Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Hose Replacement @Charge Air Cooler - Install
- Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement - Install
- Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement - Install
Seal Ring(3, 4) - Install NEW seal rings.[2x]
- Air Conditioning Compressor Hose(2) - Install
- Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Bolt(1)@Air Conditioning Compressor - Install and tighten19N.m(14 lb ft)
Loose the radiator (2) from the body and remove the ropes (1).
Wheel Speed Sensor Connector(2) - Connect
- Retainer - Install[6x]
Wheel Speed Sensor Connector(3) - Connect
- Electrical Connector(4) - Connect
- Electrical Connector(1) - Connect
- Retainer(2) - Install[3x]
- Front Wheel Drive Shaft@Front Wheel Bearing and Hub Assembly - Install
- Front Lower Control Arm@Steering Knuckle - Install[2x] - Lower Control Arm Replacement .
- Steering Linkage Outer Tie Rod@Steering Knuckle - Install[2x] - Steering Linkage Outer Tie Rod Replacement .
- Stabilizer Shaft Link@Front Shock Absorber - Install[2x] - Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement
- Fill the transmission to the proper level with NEW transmission fluid. Transmission Fluid Drain and Fill
- Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement - Install
- Underbody Brace Replacement - Front - Install
- Lower the vehicle.
- Engine Support Fixture - Remove
Fuel Feed Front Pipe(2)@Fuel Injection Pump(3) - Connect
- Clip(1) - Install
Evaporative Emission Front Pipe(1)@Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve(2) - Install - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
Power Brake Booster Vacuum Pipe(2)@Vacuum Pump(3) - Install - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Power Brake Booster Vacuum Pipe(2)@Intake Manifold(1) - Install - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
Engine Coolant Air Bleed Hose(1)@Radiator Surge Tank(2) - Install
- Heater Outlet Hose(5)@Radiator Surge Tank - Install
- Transmission Vent Hose(3)@Radiator Surge Tank - Install
- Clamp(4) - Install[2x]
Heater Outlet Hose(1) - Install
- Heater Inlet Hose(3) - Install
- Clamp(2) - Install[2x]
Range Selector Lever Cable@Transmission Range Selector Lever Cable Bracket - Install
- Push the range selector lever cable into the bracket.
- Range Selector Lever Cable(1)@Range Selector Lever Cable Lever - Install
- Front Bumper Fascia Replacement - Install
- Install the front tire and wheel assemblies. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose(3)@Throttle Body(4) - Install
- Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose Retainer Spring(1) - Install
- Turbocharger Coolant Return Pipe(2) - Install
Ground Cable(3) - Install
- Ground Cable Nut(2) - Install and tighten9 N.m (80 lb in)
- Electrical Connector(4) - Connect
- Retainer(5) - Install[2x]
- Electrical Connector(1) - Install
- Front Compartment Fuse Block Replacement - Install
- Battery Tray Replacement - Install
- Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement - Install
- Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement - Install
- Engine Sight Shield Replacement - Install
- Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
- Recharge the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
- Intermediate Steering Shaft Lower Bolt - Install Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement
- Fill and check the engine oil. Refer to:Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement
- Fill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling
- Perform the scan tool configuration/reset function:Control Module References
