Transmission Fluid Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
  2. Drain the transmission fluid. Refer to Transmission Fluid Drain and Fill .
  3. Remove the radiator inlet hose. Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement .
  4. Remove the charge air cooler outlet air hose. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose Replacement .
  5. Disconnect the transmission fluid cooler outlet pipe from the transmission fluid auxiliary cooler bypass valve and transmission. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .
  6. Note the routing of the transmission pipe to ensure proper installation.
  7. Remove the transmission fluid cooler outlet pipe from the clips securing the line to the transmission and transmission fluid cooler inlet pipe.
1 Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Nut
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
22 N.m (16 lb ft)
2 Sealing Washer
Procedure 
DISCARD the sealing washer and use NEW only.
3 Transmission Fluid Cooler Outlet Pipe
Procedure 
Fill and check the transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Drain and Fill .
