Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
  2. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  4. Remove the front bumper fascia opening lower cover. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Opening Lower Cover Replacement .
  5. Remove the front compartment insulator. Refer to Front Compartment Insulator Replacement .
  6. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  7. Remove the charge air cooler outlet air hose (2) from the radiator and charge cooler assembly (3).
  8. Remove the 2 radiator and charge air cooler bracket bolts (1).
  9. Reposition the radiator and charge air cooler (3) to allow additional space.
  10. Disconnect the charge air temperature sensor - charge air cooler outlet pipe electrical connector.
  11. Remove the charge air cooler outlet air hose bracket bolt (1).

  12. Open the spring clip (2).
  13. Remove the charge air cooler outlet air hose (3) from the throttle body.
  14. Transfer the charge air temperature sensor - charge air cooler outlet pipe. Refer to Charge Air Temperature Sensor Replacement - Charge Air Cooler Outlet Pipe .
