Installation Procedure

  1. Position the HVAC module assembly (1) into the vehicle and temporarily support it.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. From within the engine compartment, install the HVAC module assembly nut (1) securing the HVAC module assembly to the cowl panel, and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

  5. Floor Rear Air Outlet Duct - Left Side to Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module - Connect {If equipped} - Floor Rear Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side

  7. Floor Rear Air Outlet Duct<p01> - Right Side to Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower ModuleConnect {If equipped} - Floor Rear Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Right Side

  9. Install the HVAC module assembly drain tube (1) to the HVAC module assembly.
  10. Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement Install
  11. Floor Front Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side (Encore) Floor Front Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side (Trax)  Install
  12. Floor Front Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Right Side  Install
  13. Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Assembly to Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve Install - Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Assembly Replacement (2H0) Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Assembly Replacement (LUV) .
  14. Heater Outlet Hose to Heater Core Outlet Tube Install - Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (2H0) Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (LUV) Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (LUV Rear) 
  15. Heater Inlet Hose to Heater Core Inlet Tube Install - Heater Inlet Hose Replacement (2H0) Heater Inlet Hose Replacement (LUV) 
  16. Fill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling
  17. Evacuate and charge the refrigerant system. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-134a) 
  18. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
