Installation Procedure

  1. Install the ignition coil assembly.
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the ignition coil to ignition coil assembly retaining bolts (1) and tighten to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

  3. Connect the ignition coil to ignition coil wiring harness connectors (1).
  4. Install the ignition coil assembly to the engine.

  5. Install the ignition coil assembly to rocker cover retaining bolts (2) and tighten to 12 N.m (106 lb in).
  6. Connect the main ignition coil harness connector (1) to the ignition coil assembly.

  7. Connect the spark plug wires (1) to the ignition coils.
  8. If the right side coils were replaced, install the Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Hose. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Hose Replacement (LS7) .
  9. Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Hose Replacement (LS7)  - Install
  10. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (Left Side)Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (Right Side) .
  11. Connect the battery ground cable to the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
