Inflatable Restraint Passenger Presence System Replacement - Front (without SS - UD0)

WARNING: Replace the passenger presence system as a complete assembly to prevent possible injury to the occupant. All the components in the service kit are assembled and calibrated as a unit. Using only some of the components in the service kit will cause the passenger presence system to operate improperly. WARNING: To avoid personal injuries, re-zero the passenger presence system whenever you remove or replace the seat cushion or trim. Failure to do so may cause the system to malfunction. Preliminary Procedures Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket . Remove the passenger seat cushion cover and pad. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (UD0) or Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (ADM) . Remove the passenger seat suppression module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Passenger Seat Suppression Module Replacement (UD0) . Re-zero the inflatable restraint passenger presence system whenever the seat cushion or any component of the passenger presence system is removed. Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information.
1	Inflatable Restraint Front Passenger Presence System Assembly NOTE: The seat suppression module is not a component of the passenger presence service kit, and can also be re-used. Procedure: Remove the passenger presence system leaving the old adhesive strips intact on the seat pad. The new seat passenger presence system adhesive strips will be placed over the old adhesive strips. Tip: The passenger presence system is an integral part of the pad on the passenger seat cushion. Note the routing of the wiring harness and connector location for installation. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Remove the passenger seat cushion cover and pad. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (UD0) or Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (ADM) .
Remove the passenger seat suppression module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Passenger Seat Suppression Module Replacement (UD0) .
Re-zero the inflatable restraint passenger presence system whenever the seat cushion or any component of the passenger presence system is removed. Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information.

Inflatable Restraint Front Passenger Presence System Assembly

NOTE: The seat suppression module is not a component of the passenger presence service kit, and can also be re-used.

Procedure:
Remove the passenger presence system leaving the old adhesive strips intact on the seat pad. The new seat passenger presence system adhesive strips will be placed over the old adhesive strips.
Tip:

The passenger presence system is an integral part of the pad on the passenger seat cushion.
